2 cups flour
1 1/3 cup granulated sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2/3 cup milk
cup shortening
1 teaspoon vanilla
teaspoon lemon juice
1 cup milk
4 egg yolks

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add 2/3 of milk and beat 2 minutes. Add the rest of the milk and egg yolks. Blend in shortening, vanilla and lemon juice.
