2 to 3 lb. chuck or rump roast (visible fat trimmed)
1 cup bottled barbecue sauce (your preference)
⅓ cup ketchup
1 tbl. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 envelope Lipton's Dry Onion Soup Mix
½ cup water

Put roast in the crockpot. Mix together all other ingredients and pour over the meat. Cook on low for at least 6 hours. Meat will be falling apart.

Unfortunately, Mom (Memaw) did not have a written recipe for this, so I created one to the best of my recollection and ability. Although she sometimes made this in a cooking bag in the oven, when I tried that the meat was not as tender and the sauce evaporated. The crockpot method came out much closer to what I remember. I used KC Masterpiece BBQ Sauce and Heinz Ketchup.
