1 c. uncooked wild rice
3 c. fresh mushrooms, sliced
3 tbsp. minced onion
½ c. sliced almonds
½ c. sliced water chestnuts
3 c. chicken broth
½ c. butter (or vegan butter)

Directions:
Directions:
Rinse wild rice under the running water, using a strainer; drain. Combine rice, mushrooms, onions, almonds, and water chestnuts in a 2-qt. casserole dish. Add broth; dot with butter. Bake, covered, at 325º F. or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, about 1½ hours.
