Caramel French Toast Recipe

3/4 C. butter
1 1/2 C brown sugar
1 1/2 TBS karo syrup
1 loaf French bread
6 eggs
1 1/2 C milk
1 TBS vanilla
1 tsp (heaping) cinnamon

In saucepan bring to a boil: butter, brown sugar & karo syrup. Pour into 9 x 13 pan. Cut French bread in 1-inch slices.
Fit in a single layer in pan.

Mix eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon, and pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Uncover and bake at 350 for 45 minutes.

Serve with whipped cream!

*You can also freeze until ready to use. Thaw before cooking - will take longer to bake, about 60-75 minutes.
