cup butter
1 cup sugar
cup molasses
1 well beaten egg
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
tsp salt
tsp cloves
tsp ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the butter and sugar. Add molasses and egg and mix well.

Combine all dry ingredients and add to the creamed mixture.

Chill the dough

Preheat oven to 375

Form dough into 1 inch balls and roll in granulated sugar.

Place on cookie sheet 2 inches apart.

Bake 6 - 8 minutes

Let cool 1 minutes before moving to cooling rack.
