Pasties (Meat and Potato Pie) Recipe

5 c. flour, sifted
2 tsp. baking powder
1 sticks margarine
c. oil
1 c. cold water

Filling: (cut everything into -" cubes)
1 lb. round steak
peeled rutabaga
5 lg. potatoes
1 onion, finely chopped

Mix ingredients for the dough and cover the bowl until ready to use.
Split the dough into 7 sections. Roll one section into a circle. Put a large spoon full of the meat filling on half of the circle of dough. Top the meat filling with salt and pepper and a dab of margarine (maybe tsp. amount). Flip the other half of the dough over the filling. Crimp around the edge of the dough. Poke the top of the dough with a fork.

Bake on a cookie sheet for 350 F. for a total of 1 hour
(I usually bake hour on top rack and then rotate and cook on the bottom rack for hour).
Enjoy. We serve with ketchup.
