2 cans (14.5 ounce) green beans, drained
1 bell pepper, diced
1 onion, diced
½ cup cheese, grated
4 slices bacon
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Directions:
Directions:
Fry bacon until crisp, then crumble it. Mix bacon, onion, bell pepper and green beans together. Place in casserole dish, pour cream of mushroom soup over it, and sprinkle with grated cheese (more or less, according to taste.) Bake for 30 minutes at 350º.

My Aunt Elsie Wende always had several special dishes when she had family members over for holiday dinners and celebrations. This was always enjoyed by all with the subtle flavor of bacon in the casserole.
