½ Cup Shortening
2½ Cups Flour
1½ Cups Sugar
4 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. salt
⅔ Cup Milk
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 Eggs
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º
Cream together shortening, sugar and eggs. Add dry ingredients and milk. Blend together. Bake in two round cake pans; bake at 375º for 25 minutes. Cool on metal rack.

Pineapple Topping:

¾ Cup Brown Sugar
¾ White Sugar
2 T. Cornstarch
2 Cups Crushed Pineapple

Drain Pineapple; add the sugars and cornstarch; Cook until mixture bubbles and thickens, Sread on cake.
