2 20 oz cans sliced pineapple
1 package yellow cake mix
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 stick of butter
maraschino cherries

Directions:
Directions:
You will need a 12 inch round cake pan

Drain pineapple and reserve juice. Prepare cake miz according to package directions, substituting reserve pineapple juice for water. Put the cake pan on the stove and melt the butter in the pan over low heat. Add the brown sugar and stir until melted together with butter. Remove from heat. Arrange pineapple slices in pan and paut a cherry in each pineapple slice hole. Pour cake batter over pineapple and bake according to cake mix directions. Cool cake 15 minutes in pan, then invert onto a large platter.
