2 cps. self-rising flour
1/4 cp. shortening
3/4 cp. buttermilk
1/2 stick melted butter (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450. Mix shortening into flour until crumbly. Stir buttermilk into flour and pour dough onto floured surface. Slightly knead and pat down. Cut into biscuits and place into pan with sides touching. Pour butter over biscuits or bake first for 12 min. and then butter.
