2 slices of bread -- either light rye, sour dough bread or a crusty Italian roll
Liverwurst (ie -- Pillars Fine Liverwurst)
Swiss cheese slices (ie -- Kraft)
Mayonnaise (Hellmans; regular not diet)
Freshly ground black pepper

Directions:
Directions:

Generously spread mayonnaise on both slices of bread.
Cut the liverwurst into 1/4-inch "rounds" and cover one slice of bread with the rounds.
Top liverwurst with 2 slices of Swiss cheese
Put a generous amount of freshly ground black pepper on top of the cheese.
Top with the other slice of bread, mayonnaise side down on top of the cheese.

Serve with potato chips and dill pickles.

This is another one of Barry's favourite sandwiches.

The first time he took me into a deli in Florida I had no idea what the heck to order. There were way too many options. Barry ordered this sandwich for me. It is unique and a terrific combination of flavours.
