1 15 oz. can tomato sauce
c water
c raisins
3 T. brown sugar
1 T lemon juice
c seasoned bread crumbs
t. garlic powder
t onion powder
t pepper
c egg substitute
2 T ff milk
1 lb lean ground beef
1 t. salt


Combine the tomato sauce, cup water, raisins, brown sugar and lemon juice. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered for 10-15 minutes.

In a large bowl, combine the bread crumbs, seasonings, egg substitute and milk. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into balls. Carefully add to tomato mixture. Cover and simmer 20 -25 minutes or until meatballs are no longer pink.

Serve over rice or potatoes
