1 c. sugar
1/2 c. margarine
1/3 c. cut up cherries
1 egg
1 tsp. soda
1 1/2 c. flour
1 square chocolate (melted)
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. cherry juice, fill cup with sour milk

Preheat oven 350º.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together sugar and margarine. Add cherries, egg. Mix thoroughly. Gradually add in flour, soda, salt. Add melted chocolate, vanilla and sour milk mixture to dough.
Bake at 350º for 30 minutes.

Especially Dark Chocolate Frosting

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
2/3 cup Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa
3 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
5 Tbsp. cherry juice

Melt butter. Stir in cocoa. Alternately add powdered sugar and milk, beating to spreading consistency. Add small amount additional milk, if needed. Stir in 5 Tbsp. cherry juice; add vanilla.

Tip: 1 cup sour milk or buttermilk = 1 tablespoon lemon juice or vinegar plus milk to make 1 cup;
Let stand 5 minutes.
