2 or 3 slices of bread
2 eggs, separated
2 c. milk, scalded
1/2 t. vanilla
shake of nutmeg
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. raisins
blackberry jelly

Directions:
Directions:
Scald milk and pour all but 1/2 cup over bread. Beat egg yolks, sugar, vanilla, nutmeg and 1/2 c. milk. Mix with bread and milk, add raisins.

Put dish in pan of water and bake at 350o until knife comes out clean (40-45 minutes).

Spread blackberry jam over top of pudding. Beat egg whites till stiff, add sugar and beat again.

Spread over pudding and broil until brown.
