4 ½ lbs ripe tomatoes, scalded, peeled, and chopped
3 mild green chilies, chopped
1 large Spanish onion, chopped
1 large green pepper, chopped
1 large red pepper, chopped
3-6 jalapeno peppers, chopped with seeds
5 ½ oz tomato paste
¾ c. white vinegar
¼ c. brown sugar
1 T. pickling salt
2 tsp. paprika
¼ tsp. garlic powder (or use fresh garlic)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a large pot. Bring to a boil oncovered, over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Boil gently for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened to desired consistency. Note, additional sliced jalapeno peppers can be added at 50 mins if desired.
Pour into hot sterilized jars to ¼ inch from top.
Seal tight.
