4 eggs slightly beaten
2 C milk
1 package dry bread crumbs
4 tbsp. butter
1 C finely chopped onions
2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground pork
Salt
Dill weed
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground cardamom
1/3 C flour
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 cans beef broth
1 C light cream

1. In large bowl combine eggs, milk and dry bread crumbs
2. In large skillet 2 tbsp. butter sauté onions until soft (about 5 minutes) lift out with slotted spoon and add to bead crumb mixture along with the ground meats, 3 tsps. salt 1/2 tsp dill weed, allspice, nutmeg , and cardamom. Mix well.
3. Cover and refrigerate for one hour.
4. Shape into 60 meatballs
5. Pre heat oven at 325 degrees.
6. With remaining butter sauté the meat balls on all side and place in a 2 quart casserole dish
7. Pour off all but 1/4 drippings and stir in flour, 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper. Gradually stir in the beef broth bring to a boil stirring constantly add cream and 1 tsp. dill weed. Pour over meatballs.

8. Bake covered for 30 minutes garnish with fresh dill sprigs
