2 cups butter
2 cups sugar
4 cups sifted flour
4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter with sugar. Sift flour with spices, salt, and banking soda. Add alternately with sour cream to creamed butter mixture. Knead together well. Put in 9 x 9" baking pan lined with waxed paper. Press down evenly in pan and put in refrigerator overnight. Cut into desired size and slice thin. Bake at 350 until browned. If desired, top with nuts before baking.
