2 lb. round steak (in serving pieces)
½ t. salt and ½ t. pepper
3 T. shortening
⅓ c. onion finely chopped
⅓ c. celery (cut fine)
½ clove garlic (grated if desired)
2 T. brown sugar
2 t. prepared mustard
2 T. Worcestershire sauce
2 t. lemon juice
1 can of tomato soup

Directions:
Directions:
Brown steak in hot fat. Add onion and celery to cook slightly. Add remaining ingredients and cover. Cook in oven at 350 º for 1½ hours. (This can be cooked in a heavy skillet on low heat on top of stove, also.).
