Ingredients:
Ingredients:
¼ c. chili powder
1 T. + 2 tsp. ground cumin
1 T. sea salt
1 T. ground black pepper
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. onion powder
2 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
1 tsp. dried oregano

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients in small bowl. Makes about 10 T. of seasoning. Use 3 T. for every 1 lbs. of meat. For chopped or ground meat, brown meat, sprinkle seasoning into meat, mix well. For steaks, rub steaks with seasoning to taste, prepare steaks to your liking.

Personal Notes:
I like this recipe because it's easy, uses fairly common spices, and is way cheaper (and tastier, in my opinion) than purchasing pre-made seasonings. It's a modified version of a copycat recipe of a common Mexican food brand pre-made season mix that was a little too salty for us. Personally, I like to use beef that's designated "for stew" and I'll chop it to prepare it; the finer you can chop it (ideally pieces that are half a centimeter to a centimeter), the better: you get the crispy edges on the meat that make it way better. Of course, if you're more of a steak taco kind of person, go for it! This is just a generic taco seasoning, meaning it can be used for other things than just tacos: tamales (check out my mom's tamale pie recipe!), grilled chicken, it even tastes great sprinkled on buttered corn.
