3/4 loaf French bread
2 1/4 cups milk plus 1 cup milk
4 eggs
11/2 cups sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 stick butter
Raisins optional
Lemon Sauce
11/2 cups water
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 stick butter
3 Tablespoons cornstarch
3 egg yolks
Juice of 1 large lemon

Directions:
Directions:

Tear bread into pieces and soak in the 21/4 cups milk 30 minutes
In large bowl mix 4 eggs, 1 cup milk ,sugar ,vanilla ,
salt ,cinnamon ,nutmeg and melted butter Add raisins

Pour bread mixture in greased baking dish then stir in the
egg mixture
Bake 350 degrees 45-55 minutes

In a double boiler over low to medium heat combine
Water, 3/4 cup sugar, 1/4 stick butter and cornstarch
As this starts to heat add beaten egg yolks very slowly
Add lemon juice. When thickens pour over baked bread pudding
