1 lb carrots, peeled and sliced thin
Salt
1 recipe of Basic White Sauce (See Sauces and Gravies)

Directions:
Directions:
Place carrots in medium saucepan. Cover with water. Add salt to water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until carrots are tender. About 10 minutes.

Drain the carrots well.

Make a thick white sauce (See the Basic White Sauce Recipe).

Add carrots to white sauce.

Notes: This is also good using potatoes in place of the carrots.
