Ingredients:  
4 cups flour
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
4 tablespoons shortening
1 ½ cup warm water (approximately)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat frying pan without oil. (Typically a well seasoned cast iron pan works well.)
Mix flour, salt and baking powder together.
Cut shortening into flour mixture with a fork until mixture looks like coarse corn meal.
Add warm water stirring at first, then mix with hands until fairly smooth.
Form dough into egg size balls
Roll out flat.
Cook in hot frying pan until speckled brown.

This came from Robert's mom. It took a lot of close attention to the measurement of ingredients because she's so practiced she doesn't really measure. Robert once made it with tablespoons of salt instead of teaspoons!
