6-8 Apples (Spartan, Macintosh, Granny Smith, Royal Gala, other crisp varieties)
1/3 Cup White Sugar
2 tsp. Cinnamon

Crisp Topping
2 Cups Quick Oats
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Flour
2 Tbsp. Butter or Margarine

Peel apples and cut up into small chunks. Use an apple de-corer and slicer for easy and quick way.
Add to the medium size Dutch Oven. Pour sugar over apples, stirring to coat the apples in sugar. Sprinkle the cinnamon over the apples and sugar.

In a separate bowl, combine the quick oats, brown sugar and flour. Cut the margarine or butter into the oat mixture until it forms into a crumb like texture. Tip: Use two butter knifes to assist with the crumbs.

Cover the apples with the crumb topping ensuring the entire surface is covered. Cook over the BBQ or the open fire for 40minutes or until and topping is golden brown.
