1 1/2 lbs beef stew meat, cut into small chunks
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 can beef broth
1 TB Worcestershire sauce
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 carrots, peeled and sliced
2-3 potatoes, peeled and diced
1 medium onion
2 stalks celery, peeled and cut up (optional)
1 bay leaf

Directions:
Directions:
1) In small bowl, stir together the flour, salt, pepper, and paprika. Set aside.
2) Brown beef stew meat in 2 TB oil over high heat. Then transfer to crockpot. Include drippings.
3) Sprinkle flour mixture over beef and stir to coat evenly.
4) Place all cut up vegetables on top of meat in crockpot.
5) In small bowl, combine the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, bay leaf, & garlic.
6) Pour liquid over all ingredients in crockpot, submerging the bay leaf.
7) Turn crockpot on low and cook for 6-8 hours, until meat and vegetables are tender.

**In last hour, if liquid needs to be thicker, add 1-2 TB of cornstarch to 1/4 cup water and blend till smooth. Stir into the beef stew to thicken over the final hour of cooking.

Serve with biscuits.
