Ingredients:
Ingredients:
5-7 medium apples (granny smith,Mutsu) peeled, cored and sliced
1 tbsp flour
½ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup brown sugar

Either a home made pie crust from scratch or your favorate pre-made pie crust.

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 450º

Mix all the dry ingredients together and place in a large size plastic bag. After you have peeled, cored and sliced the apples. Add to mixture and seal. Blend the mixture with the apples until the apples are well coated.

Place pie crust into pie dish and add the apple mixture into pie dish. Take 1/2 the measured butter and cut up into sm cubes and place on top of the apple mixture. Take second pie crust for top and cover. Seal the crust together. Cut away the excess. I usually take a cookie cutter of a fall shape and cut out from pie crust prior to placing of top of apple mixture. Take the remaining cubes of butter and place around the top crust.

I take the cut out pieces and place around the pie. Find your own creativity with your pie and make it your own!!!

Place the pie on a cookie sheet and place in oven. Bake for 10 minutes at 450º and lower temp to 350º for 40 min. Or until the crust is golden brown.

Personal Notes:
I pick my own apples every year. I usually make up several batches of my apple mixture and place in freezer bags. I just pop out a bag and whip up a pie as a treat for my family. They call it the Apple apocalypse. I don't see them missing a piece of my pie when I make it. (insert wink her).
