1 Tb Butter

1 tbls olive oil

1/2 cup onion chopped

3 cloves garlic

2 large cans whole tomatoes

1 cup water

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

1/4 tsp dried oregano or basil

1/2 cup cream/evaporated milk/coconut milk ( whatever you want to use)

1 tbls sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Heat the butter and olive oil in a large saucepan and saute the onion and garlic until the onion is translucent about 5 minutes. Add the tomatoes, water, milk salt, red pepper flakes, oregano, and sugar. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat to a simmer 15 minutes.

Remove from the heat and puree in batches in the container of a blender or use emersion blender
