2⅓ cups sugar
2 Tbsp root beer extract
1 tsp yeast

Fill a one-gallon glass (not plastic!) jug ½ full with hot water. Add sugar and extract. Put on lid tightly and shake. Fill to the top with cold water and add yeast. Let stand 6 hours in a warm place and then refrigerate to chill. Once opened, always recap and refrigerate.
