Ham (slice/chunk with a little fat)
2 ltrs of water
2 bay leaves
Small onion, cut in half

10 Carrots
8 Potatoes

Directions:
Directions:
Cook the first four ingredients approximately 1 hour, remove ham, onion and bay leaves.
Add carrots, cut in 2” lengths, add another 2 bay leaves, cook until carrots are done, add water if necessary. Cook potatoes separately - drain off water when cooked. Strain carrots from liquid, set aside liquid.

Take carrots and potatoes and mash with potato masher very fine. Add enough liquid to carrots and potatoes for consistency you prefer…thick or thinner soup. Salt and pepper to taste.
