1 c. oatmeal
1 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven 350º.

Pour 1 1/2 cups hot water over oatmeal, set aside.

Cream together butter, brown sugar, white sugar; add eggs. Sift together flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg. Gradually, add to the cream mixture. Mix well.

Fold in oatmeal mixture and bake 350º for 30 minutes.

Icing:

Mix together in sauce pan 1 stick butter, melted, 1/4 c. milk, 1 c. brown sugar, 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 1 c. coconut and 1 c. pecans. Pour over cake.
