1 pound sausage
1 medium chopped onion
½ cup chopped celery
4 cans (15 ounce) blackeyed peas, undrained (I use some jalapeno)
1 can (14 ounce) diced unsalted tomatoes
1 can (10 ounce) diced Rotel tomatoes
2 tablespoons chili powder

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sausage and drain off all but 1 tablespoon of drippings. Add onions and celery and cook until translucent. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, about 30 minutes.

Serve with cornbread.

I found this recipe in a farm magazine. It is very good on cold days or for New Year's parties!
