1-3 lb chicken fryer cut up

2-3 eggs beaten

1 box cracker meal put 1 cup at a time in the bowl you might not have to use the whole box

Salt and pepper to taste

Dutch oven with cooking oil

Directions:
Directions:
Partly cook the chicken in a large pot with water drain
Simmer 15 minutes put on a plate to drain
Next beat 2 eggs in a bowl
Put cracker crumbs in another bowl
Dredge the chicken in the eggs then into the cracker meal
Fry in hot oil turn chicken pieces so there cooked on both sides
Put on a plate with paper toweling to drain
Serve with mashed potatoes or French fries and cold slaw

Grandma made this and homemade cold slaw every Sunday for dinner
Grandpa always made the homemade bread too to add to the meal
Sometimes they would have homemade baked beans tosh those were the good old days
Grandmas fried chicken was the best ever bless they were the greatest
