2-3 ripe medium bananas
2 eggs
1 3/4 C flour
1 1/2 C suger
1/2 c. oil
1/4 C + 1 TBSP buttermilk
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp salt
1 C chopped walnuts optional (NO THANKS!)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325. Oil and flour 9x5 loaf pan. Combine flour, baking soda and sugar, stir well. Add rest of ingredients and stir well. Pour into greased bread pan, bake until top is brown, cracking and toothpick comes out clean, about 1 hour 20 minutes; I sometimes cover with aluminum foil last 20 minutes or so to prevent crusting on top.

This is TRULY the best banana bread recipe EVER! You will hear it every time you take it somewhere...so if you think everyone likes banana bread, this one will supersede it....think maybe it's the buttermilk twist :)
