1 pound of hamburger
1 can (14½ oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies, do not drain the juice.
1 can (10¾ oz) condensed cream of onion soup
1 envelope (1¼ oz) taco seasoning mix (I prefer to use ½ packet of mix)
¼ cup water
6 Corn tortillas (5 or 6 inches in diameter)
½ cup sour cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese about 4 ozs.
3 medium green onion, sliced about 3 T. (optional)

Cook beef until brown, drain any grease.

Cut tortillas into small strips.

Mix beef, tomatoes, soup, seasoning mix and water and then put in a slow cooker. Stir in the cut tortillas gently.

Cook on low setting for 7 to 8 hours.

Spread sour cream over the casserole, then sprinkle with cheese. Cover the cooker for about 5 minutes to melt the cheese. If you like onions sprinkle them on top (optional).
