1 pound yellow squash
2 onions, chopped
1 teaspoon sugar
1 egg
1 stick butter
1/4 cup milk
1 cup bread crumbs
1 cup grated cheese
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Cook squash and onions in salted water until tender. Drain. Beat lightly. Add remaining ingredients, reserving 1/3 of cheese and bread crumbs for topping. Pour into buttered casserole dish and top with leftover cheese and bread crumbs. Bake at 350º until cheese is melted and top is lightly browned.
