1-pound lump crab meat
1 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1 large egg
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp dry mustard
Butter or oil for frying.
Directions:
Directions:
Mix bread crumbs, egg, mayo and seasonings. Add crab and mix gently. If too dry, add more mayo. Shape into 6 cakes. Cook cakes in fry pan in just enough fat to prevent sticking.

This recipe was a family favorite when we were camping at Peaceful Beach on the shore of the Chesapeake Bay in the 1970's and 80's. Ben and Bobby would capture all the crabs that we could possibly eat in huge crab traps constructed by the kids at the blind school in town. Bob and I would clean every crab alive and immediately place them in boiling water to cook. In the afternoon, Penny, Ben, Bob and I would pick the cooled crab meat from the shells ~ anticipating a delicious crab fest. Precious memories.
