This is Aunt Mo Keeler's great pie!

Directions:
Crumble Crust:
Mix in pie tin 2 cups flour, 2 Tbsp sugar and a dash salt. In a separate bowl, mix ⅔ cups cooking oil with 2 Tbsp canned (evaporated) milk. Beat milk into oil with fork. Then pour oil mix into the flour mix. Finish mixing fingers, pressing together. Set aside ⅓ of the crumble dough. Press the rest into pan.

Apple Filling:
Peel and finely grate 5 to 6 medium apples or 9 to 10 Jonathan apples. Do not use Delicious apples (too sweet), unless you substitute the water with lemon juice. To the grated apples, add 1 cup white sugar, 2 Tbsp flour, 1 tsp cinnamon, and ¼ to ⅓ cup water.

Add filling to pie crust and sprinkle reserved crumble on top of filling. Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 425º then lower to 350º and bake an additional 35 minutes.
