3¾ cups flour
1 egg
1 Tbsp yeast
¼ cup warm water
¼ cup margarine
1 cup milk
⅛ tsp salt
¼ cup sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Heat milk and margarine enough to melt margarine. Beat egg; add to milk mixture, set aside to cool. Mix sugar, salt, and flour. Put yeast in warm water; let work until it starts "acting". Add to milk mixture, then add flour. Put in large bowl; cover with damp towel; let rise. Cut into chunks; flatten out a little. Fry at 350º until golden brown.

Yummy scones from a little café in Blackfoot, ID. I asked for the recipe, she said "ok" but it was in bulk - enough for hundreds of scones! We reduced the recipe, and it's great for Boy Scouts!
