2 cups sugar
1/2 cup Karo syrup
1/2 cup.hot water
Dash of salt
Directions:
Directions:
Stir together until dissolved.
Boil to medium ball stage.
Whip 1/3 of mixture into 2 stiffly beaten egg whites.
Boil rest of syrup to hard ball stage and beat into egg white mixture.
Add food coloring.
Beat until it loses its gloss.
Add 1 tsp. vanilla, if you want 1/2 cup chopped nuts.
Drop from tsp. on to wax paper and let cool
