1 quart buttermilk
1 pint whipping cream
2 cups granulated sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Directions:

Combine all ingredients, stirring well. Pour into freezer can of a 1-gallon freezer. Freeze according to manufacturer's directions.
Yield-½ gallon
Note: Recipe may be doubled

I got this recipe years ago when I was visiting in San Antonio. To me the taste resembles sherbet. So good! It doesn't have a buttermilk taste.
