Heat over to 350º

2 cups brown sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract


3 cups flour sifted with
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar


1 cup chopped black walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º.
Cream brown sugar, shortening, eggs and add vanilla.
Add sifted flour mixture to creamed mixture and blend.
Add chopped walnuts.

Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 - 375º for about 10-12 minutes.
