Buy chuck roast
Fry in oil in a big pot
Once brown
Cover with Lipton Onion Soup Mix

Put a little water in a lid and cover the roast with the water and put the lid on.

You might have to add a little water every once in a while.

Directions:
Depending on how long you need to cook this.
Sometimes I just put the meat on to cook in the morning and then
wait until noon to put the vegetables in and then cook till 5.
It should be done in 5 hours
Take out meat and vegetables and make gravy. My mom always
Added Worcestershire sauce to the gravy.
A trick is: if your potatoes or carrots aren't quite cooked done enough add a little water and turn up the heat for 20 minutes or so and they will soften right up.
