1-Cup Butter
1-1/3 Cups Dark Brown Sugar
2 Egg Yolks
2 Cups A P flour
¼ tsp cream of tartar
¼ tsp salt
1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
65 Pecan halves, toasted

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar. Stir in yolks. Combine flour, cream of tartar and salt. Add to cookie dough. Stir in chopped nuts.
Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheet. Top each cookie with a pecan half. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-17 minutes or until brown around edges. I bake them on the bottom oven rack.
These cookies are lovely. Be certain to bake until browned around edges. This adds much to the flavors.

This recipe came from my friend, Cookie Berger. Cookie grew up among the Amish people in Lancaster, PA. She worked at the Bank for more than 25-years and then returned to the Amish area of PA for her retirement. Many of her recipes are from her Amish friends.
