½-lb. Butter, creamed in stand mixer with ~
1-cup granulated sugar. Then add
2 eggs, well beaten, followed by
1-lb. flour sifted with (2-1/4 cups)
1-tsp. baking powder
Add 3-TBSP. soured cream* as dough comes together.

Directions:
Directions:
Place dough in refrigerator over night.
Roll out dough very thin, brush with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture. Cut out shapes with your favorite cookie cutters and place on baking sheet.
Bake @ 350 until edges start to turn brown.

Note ~ this dough has high butter content. It is difficult to roll out thin, but this is the secret to cookie success. Also, keep spare dough in refrig while rolling out cookies.

(*) Soured Cream ~ add 1 TBS white vinegar to 1/2-cup milk.

This cookie takes a little bit of practice and a wee bit of patience.

Personal Notes:
This is a fussy cookie dough to roll out and cut ~ almost put butter. This recipe is from Minnie Westlake, my maternal grandmother.
