Ingredients:
4 eggs, beaten,
⅓ cup of milk,
2 tsp salt,
2 cups of all-purpose flour.

A pot of boiling, salted water (a gallon)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix above ingredients together.
Dough will be sticky and about the thickness of pancake batter
Bring SALTED water to a boil.

Spray a "Spaetzel maker" with nonstick cooking spray.
*If you don't have a Spaetzel maker - use a grater or something with holes for Spaetzel to drop into water.

Place the Spaetzel maker (or grater) over the pot of boiling water.
Slowly pour the batter over the holes so that it drips into boiling water.
* (Use spoon or spatchelor to help move batter through the holes)

The Spaetzel is ready when floats to the top of the water.
Remove Spaetzel with a slotted spoon or net, - let it drain as you remove.
Place Spaetzel in a bowl and add 1 tablespoon of butter.

Serve plain with butter, or as a base for any desired main dish.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
* A "Spaetzel maker" is a simple device that looks like a metal cheese grater with lots of "holes" in it that are about the size of a pencil. There is a little plastic "box" that fits on it and slides back and forth to help push the Spaetzel batter through the holes and into the boiling water.
