1-1/2 lbs fresh broccoli (used only florets)
2 C water
3/4 t salt
1/2 C cornstarch, mixed with 1 C cold water
1 pint half and half
1 lb velveeta
1/2 t pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Steam broccoli till tender. Place half and half and water on top of a double boiler. Add cheese, salt, and pepper. Heat until cheese is melted. Add broccoli. Mix cornstarch and cold water in small bowl. Stir it into cheese mixture in double boiler, and heat over simmering water till soup thickens.
