Carne
3 pounds Pork Loin or Pork Roast-trimmed of fat
½ cup Water
1 tablespoon Salt or to taste
1 teaspoon Pepper or to taste

Chile
1-2 pints Red Chile Puree
1/2-1 cups Water or Chicken Stock
1 medium Onion chopped small or substitute onion powder
4 Cloves Garlic – Minced
2 teaspoons Oregano
2 teaspoons Salt or to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Carne
1. Place pork in Crock Pot on Medium for at least 5 hours
2. Take out and shred pork
3. Put back in Crock Pot and cover with Red Chile

Chile
1. Combine all ingredients.
2. Mix well and put in Crock Pot over Shredded Pork
3. Cook for at least 1 hour on medium heat
Optional
• Grated Cheese
• Shredded Lettuce
• Chopped Tomato
Notes
• Carne adovada can be eaten as is or enveloped in a flour tortilla as a burrito.
• Top with more chile and cheese.
• Use as filling for enchiladas, stuffed sopaipillas or in a breakfast burrito.
• Carne Adovada Freezes Well Enjoy!
