1 cup soft butter
1 cup powered sugar
1 egg
1 tap vanilla
2 1/4 cups flour
2 cups red and green candied cherries, roughly chopped
1 cup pecans, roughly chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Heat the oven to 325º. In a large bowl cream the butter and sugar. Add the egg and vanilla. Beat until fluffy. Add flour and mix well. Stir in the cherries and pecans. Chill for 1 hour. Shape the dough into 3 ten inch rolls and wrap in plastic wrap. Place in a freezer for up to 3 months. To bake cut the frozen rolls into 1/8 inch slices. Place onto ungreased cookie sheets and bake 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Cool on wire racks.
