¾ cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
¼ cup molasses
1½ cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
¾ tsp ground cloves
¾ tsp ground ginger
2 cups rolled oats

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Lightly grease cookie sheet

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
Beat in egg and molasses until smooth.

Sift together dry ingredients.
Stir into butter mixture until blended.
Stir in oats.

Drop by tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheet about 3" apart

Bake about 8 minutes or until brown.
