2 1/2 c all-purpose flour
4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 sticks unsalted butter- room temp
2/3 c sugar (white)
1 c packed light brown sugar
2 lg eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 c white chocolate chips
1 c dried cherries




Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º Whisk flour, baking soda & salt.

In a large bowl using mixer, beat butter & both sugars on high until light & fluffy ( 3 min).
Reduce speed to med. Add eggs & vanilla until combined ( scrape sides of bowl as needed).
Reduce speed to low. Add flour mix until combined. Then add chocolate chips & cherries.

Press cookie dough into a 9x13 greased baking dish.
Bake for 30 min. it will be a hard crust on the edges & slightly gooey in the middle. Perfect.

Let it sit out for 1 hr, then cut into bars.

I sometimes need to cover dish with foil at the end so it doesn't brown too much.
