3/4 C.Sugar
3/4 C. Pitted Dates Chopped
3/4 C.Water
3/8 tsp. Vanilla
Dough
3/4 C. Butter
1 1/2 Sifted Flour
1 1/2 C. Oats
1 C. Brown Sugar
1 tsp.Soda
2 tsp.Baking Powder
4 tsp. Milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cook together sugar, date & Water until thick. Stirring constantly. Remove from heat. allow this filling to cool.
then add Flavor.
Blend batter,Flour,Oats, Brown sugar,soda, & Baking powder to resemble a coarse meal. Add milk gradually, mixing lightly, but not thoroughly with fork until doughis moist enough to roll. Gather into a ball & roll out on a well floured board to 1/8" thickness. cut with round cookie cutter, place a spoonful of filling on one disk, cover with another disk. Place cookies on ungreesed baking sheet. Bake 375 Degrees 15 Min.
